Background

Gulnar Salmanova received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanics from Baku State University. After completing her studies, she continued her scientific research and defended her PhD dissertation in the specialty “Fluid, Gas and Plasma Mechanics” on the topic “Waves in a Fluid Flowing over a Shell.”

Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Sciences degree as a doctoral researcher at Baku State University. Her main research interests focus on the theoretical and applied aspects of complex flow processes occurring in heterogeneous systems. Her studies are devoted to the investigation of non-equilibrium and non-stationary states in flows of heterogeneous systems, as well as the principles of their regulation.

Her research is aimed at addressing relevant scientific problems in the fields of continuum mechanics, hydrodynamics, and the dynamics of multiphase systems. She began her teaching career at the Department of Theoretical Mechanics and Continuum Mechanics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Baku State University. Over the years, she has been engaged in both teaching and research activities at the department and has worked as an Associate Professor. In her scientific and pedagogical work, she focuses on the development of fundamental theoretical knowledge in mechanics and the training of young specialists.
