Mahar Maharramov
Background
Mahar Maharramov held his first solo exhibition titled “Dreams Come True” at the Contemporary Art Gallery in Baku in 2009, supported by the Qafqaz Media Public Union. From 2011 to 2012, he worked as a host on the “Rainbow” television program at Türkel TV in Tovuz district. In 2012, he organized his second solo exhibition, “Seven Beautiful Weeks”, in Baku with the support of Park Bulvar. Between 2012 and 2013, he was employed as a carpet artist at the Buta Carpet Center under the Ganja Textile Combine and, from 2013, became a young member of the Azerbaijan Artists’ Union. From 2013 to 2014, he served as the head and instructor of the painting gallery at the Zəka Center for Intellectual Development and Creativity in Şəmkir. In 2013, he won the 3rd grant competition of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with his solo exhibition project “Khamsa”, and in 2014, he held his third solo exhibition at the Museum Center, featuring 40 works on glass. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Artistic Glass Design at the S.G. Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts from 2014 to 2018 and his Master’s degree at the same institution from 2018 to 2020. From 2022 to 2023, he worked as Deputy Art Director at Ayn Color in the Russian Federation and, in 2023, pursued additional studies in Computer Technologies and Graphic Design at Stroganov University. From 2024 to 2025, he engaged in pedagogical activities within the “Sabah” group project at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts.
