Course Description
This course builds upon the theoretical and practical foundations established in Fundamentals of Design 1 and aims to further develop students’ creative and analytical thinking skills. The course emphasizes the theoretical principles of design, design elements, and compositional structures, focusing on the harmonious interaction of form, line, color, texture, proportion, symmetry, balance, and contrast.
Students deepen their understanding of color theory and color harmony, learning to apply color relationships, contrasts, and harmonies, as well as the emotional and psychological impact of color in design projects. By the end of the course, students systematically master design principles, create compositions that balance aesthetic harmony and functional requirements, apply professional-level color–form relationships, and develop the ability to design and present independent projects through creative and analytical problem-solving approaches.
