Background

Dr. Bilal Dadayev is an Associate Professor of History at our university. He holds a BA, MA and PhD in History from Selçuk University (1992-2004), completed through a state-sponsored program of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He has an extensive academic background in history and political studies, with teaching experience at Qafqaz University, Baku State University and Baku Engineering University, where he delivered courses such as History of Azerbaijan, History of the Republic of Türkiye, Research Methods and Multiculturalism of Azerbaijan. He has also held several academic and administrative positions, including Head of Department and Deputy Director of research centres.

Research Interests

His research focuses on Azerbaijan’s history, Ottoman-Azerbaijani socio-cultural relations, the former Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, nationalism, and regional historical processes. He is the author of over 100 academic publications, including articles indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, as well as several books and book chapters. His work has been presented at numerous international conferences across Türkiye, Iran, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Moldova, and includes contributions to projects on Karabakh and Azerbaijani historical heritage.
