Background

In 2009, Nahida Hasanova was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philology with a specialization in Azerbaijani Language.

She has extensive teaching experience at leading secondary and higher education institutions of the country. She has taught at Secondary School No. 271 in Baku, Modern Education Complex, and Baku State University. The courses she has delivered include: Phonetics of the Azerbaijani Language, Lexicology of the Azerbaijani Language, Morphology of the Azerbaijani Language, Syntax of the Azerbaijani Language, Practicum in Azerbaijani Language, Speech Culture of the Azerbaijani Language, Stylistics and Rhetoric of the Azerbaijani Language, Business and Academic Communication in Azerbaijani, Historical Grammar of the Azerbaijani Language (in SABAH groups), Linguistic Analysis of Literary Text, History of the Azerbaijani Language, History of the Azerbaijani Literary Language, and Stylistics of the Azerbaijani Language.

She is the author of more than 20 scholarly publications (including monographs and teaching manuals) and has participated in several research projects.

Her research activity is focused on the development of the Azerbaijani literary language.
