[AZER255] Syntax
Instruction Language
Azerbaijani
Course Description
This course examines the syntactic structure of the modern Azerbaijani language and the rules governing the combination of words into phrases and sentences. Students study syntactic relations, sentence types based on purpose and intonation, sentence components (subject, predicate, object, attribute, adverbial modifier), supplements, specifications, compound and complex sentences, text structure, direct and indirect speech, and punctuation. Through written exercises, oral discussions, and applied syntactic analysis, learners strengthen their ability to interpret structural patterns and apply grammatical rules accurately in both written and spoken communication — competencies essential for effective language teaching.
