Vafa Babayeva
Background
Vafa Babayeva was born in 1986 in Baku, Azerbaijan. She received her early musical
education at Dzerzhinsky Music School. In 2004, she entered the L.V. Sobinov Conservatory
in Saratov, Russia, where she completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in string
performance.
Between 2013 and 2015, she pursued a second Master’s degree at the Zuyd Conservatory in
Maastricht, the Netherlands, graduating with distinction. This period significantly
strengthened her technical skills and broadened her artistic perspective.
Since 2009, she has been engaged in both pedagogical and performance activities. She has
worked as a violin instructor at specialized music schools and performed with chamber
orchestras and ensembles.
Her professional career reflects dedication to artistic excellence and the training of young
musicians.
She currently works as a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of Qarabağ University.
