Background

Seyran Kasimi was born in 1980 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. He began his musical
education in 1988 at Children’s Music School No. 2 in Ashgabat, studying violin. In 1995, he
entered the D. Ovezov Turkmen State Music School and later continued his higher education
at the Turkmen National Conservatory, graduating in violin performance.
Between 2007 and 2010, he worked as a musician with the “Ovāz” Orchestra at the
Turkmen Cultural Center. From 2010 to 2020, he was engaged in pedagogical activity at the
D. Ovezov Music School and the Turkmen National Conservatory. Between 2017 and 2023,
he performed with the Turkmenistan State Symphony Orchestra, gaining extensive
orchestral and concert experience.
Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his professionalism, discipline, and
dedication to music. His ability to work in both orchestral and educational environments
highlights his versatility as a performer and educator.
He currently works as a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of Karabakh University.
