Khurshud Abdullayeva
Background
Khurshud Abdullayeva was born on September 15, 1959, in Baku, Azerbaijan.
She graduated from the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School with a focus on piano
performance
and completed her higher education at the Uzeyir Hajibeyli Azerbaijan State Conservatory
in 1983
under the guidance of Professor Farhad Badalbeyli.
She attended advanced training at the Minsk Conservatory in 1979,
participated in harpsichord masterclasses in the United Kingdom in 1992,
and completed a specialization program at the Moscow Conservatory in 1998.
Between 1988 and 1995, she worked as an accompanist at the Conservatory.
From 1995 to 2025, she served as a lecturer in organ, harpsichord, and general piano
departments.
From 2001 to 2025, she was Director of the Azerbaijan State Choir Chapel,
leading the ensemble in international festivals and cultural programs.
She was awarded the honorary title “Honored Artist” in 2007,
became Associate Professor in 2009, and Professor in 2017.
She continues her academic and concert activities.
