Background
| Aysakin Gasimli completed her Bachelor’s degree in Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, from 2017 to 2021. She then earned her Master’s degree in Graphic Design at the same faculty from 2021 to 2023, graduating with distinction. She has actively participated in a number of trainings, workshops, and events, including: • CREATIVE SPARK BIG IDEA CHALLENGE, organized by the British Council, University of Kent, and ADA University, Baku, Azerbaijan. • Volunteering at “BIR” Volunteer Center, Baku, Azerbaijan, assisting with special events and programs. • In 2018, she participated in a lantern workshop at the Lux Helsinki Festival, under the guidance of Finnish artist, curator, and lighting designer Mia Kivinen. Her lantern, made from various materials, was exhibited in the “7 Beautiful Parks” exhibition in Icherisheher, Baku. • She took part in the “Nasimi Festival” organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in 2019 and was awarded a certificate of appreciation for her active contribution to the organization, promotion, and implementation of the project. • She was invited as an artist-designer to the “Pomegranate Festival” held in Goychay in 2019. • From May 18 to 30, 2019, she participated in the “Art as Practice” art training program in Baku, led by artist, curator, and creative administrator Wato Tsereteli, and received a certificate of completion. |
