Course Description

This course continues the development of vocal performance skills based on musical notation for students specializing in traditional vocal performance (khananda singing). It further strengthens music reading abilities and enhances overall performance culture through systematic practice.
Within the instructional process, students refine their ability to accurately read musical notation, precisely follow melodic lines, and maintain intonational stability and rhythmic accuracy. The course involves systematic work on the Azerbaijani song and romance repertoire, with analysis of modal–intonational characteristics, melodic development logic, and artistic-emotional content.
Particular attention is given to the further development of proper breath distribution, phrasing, diction, and articulation skills during the sight-singing process.
