Course Description
This course explores the mathematical framework for analyzing random phenomena and drawing inferences from data. The curriculum focuses on probability axioms, discrete and continuous random variables, and key distributions such as Normal, Binomial, and Poisson. Students investigate hypothesis testing, correlation, and regression analysis to interpret complex datasets. The course emphasizes the Law of Large Numbers and the Central Limit Theorem. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of performing statistical modeling and risk assessment, providing essential tools for data science, quality control, and decision-making in engineering.
