Course Description
This course examines natural phenomena, processes, and components of the Earth’s surface and their interrelationships. The course aims to explain the formation and development of natural environments, including landscapes, landforms, climate systems, water resources, soils, and vegetation cover. Core areas of physical geography—geomorphology, climatology, hydrology, soil science, and biogeography—are introduced through theoretical and applied perspectives. Students learn to analyze natural processes across space and time, assess their interactions, and evaluate their impact on human activity. The course develops skills in interpreting natural–geographical conditions, analyzing maps and spatial data, monitoring environmental changes, and applying physical geography concepts in educational and practical contexts.
