Course Description
This course examines the structure, properties, reactions, and applications of inorganic compounds. It covers the periodic table and its underlying principles, electronic structure of atoms, ionic and covalent bonding, complex compounds and their isomerism, as well as topics related to metallurgy and metallochemistry. The chemistry of nonmetals, transition metals, rare and colored metals, and their important compounds is studied in detail. The course also provides knowledge of how inorganic substances are applied in everyday life, industry, and environmental protection. Students learn to compare the chemical properties of elements, explain the synthesis and reactions of inorganic substances, and evaluate their practical significance.
