Course Description
Within the framework of this course, students develop a systematic scholarly understanding of the emergence, formation, and historical development of Azerbaijani musical culture, as well as the ability to deeply comprehend the historical and cultural foundations of national musical traditions. Students study the musical heritage shaped during ancient and medieval periods, the scholarly legacy of prominent researchers and musicologists in this field, and the characteristics of both court and folk music cultures.
