Course Description
This course introduces the core concepts of computer programming and algorithmic problem-solving. The curriculum focuses on fundamental building blocks such as variables, data types, control structures (loops and conditionals), and functions using a high-level language like Python or C++. Students learn to decompose complex problems into logical steps and develop clean, efficient code. The course covers debugging techniques, basic data structures like arrays and lists, and the principles of modular programming. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of writing original programs to automate tasks, process information, and implement mathematical models, establishing the essential computational mindset required for modern engineering.
