Course Description
This course aims to strengthen students’ English proficiency and develop the academic communication skills needed for success at the university level. Students build practical skills in academic reading, writing, listening, and speaking relevant to their future professional and academic work. The course covers academic vocabulary development, critical reading strategies, effective note-taking from lectures, essay writing, oral presentations, and participation in academic discussions. Emphasis is placed on understanding and applying academic conventions and rhetorical strategies in English. Through interactive tasks and discussions, students practice using appropriate language across different subjects and contexts. The overall goal is to prepare learners for successful academic performance in English.
