Course Description
This course explores the interactions between living organisms and their environments, as well as the fundamental principles of sustainable development. It examines the structure and functioning of ecosystems, the dynamics of populations and biocommunities, energy and matter cycles, the conservation of biodiversity, global environmental challenges, and potential solutions. The course also covers the ecological, economic, and social dimensions of sustainable development, including natural resource management, the use of renewable energy sources, and environmental policy issues. By the end of the course, students develop ecological awareness, understand the necessity of sustainable approaches in modern society, and learn to assess environmental problems and their scientific solutions.
