Jeyhun Mammadov
Background
Jeyhun Mammadov is an economist with extensive pedagogical and administrative experience in higher education and scientific research. He currently serves as the Director of the Research and Innovation Center at Karabakh University. In the 2024–2025 academic year, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the university, and prior to that, he held various academic and administrative positions at several higher education institutions. He completed his undergraduate studies in Trade Management at Azerbaijan State University of Economics. He earned his master’s degree in Economics from NOVA University Lisbon, Portugal, fully funded by the Science and Technology Foundation (FCT). He obtained his doctoral degree in Economics (Dr. rer. pol.) from Bielefeld University, Germany, fully funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and graduated with Magna Cum Laude distinction. He began his academic and pedagogical career in 2012 at Khazar University, where he held various leadership positions, including serving as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management from 2017 to 2024. Since 2016, he has also taught economics courses at ADA University. His research focuses on macroeconomics, dynamic modeling, and economic growth, with scholarly articles published in reputable journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Ceyhun Məmmədov has actively participated in national and international accreditation processes, serving as an international expert for FIBAA and as an expert and committee chair for the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (AQAE/TKTA). He has also contributed to various ERASMUS+ projects as an expert and coordinator, making significant contributions to enhancing higher education quality and strengthening institutional development.
