Background

Javid Aliyev is a specialist with research and teaching experience in economics and finance. He completed his PhD in Economics and Islamic Finance at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Prior to that, he earned a master’s degree from UNEC and a bachelor’s degree from Baku Engineering University.

Alongside his academic work, he has professional experience in finance and auditing, having worked at KPMG Azerbaijan and Gilan Industrial Group. His research interests include renewable energy, carbon emissions, institutional quality, and economic growth, and he has published articles and presented at conferences in international journals.

He is currently teaching economics at the Faculty of Business and Economics, Karabakh University.
