Gulay Amanova
Background
Gülay Amanova was born in 1996 in Baku. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics at ADA University in 2018 and subsequently completed her Master’s degree in Economics at Friedrich Alexander University, Germany. Her master’s thesis focused on the empirical evaluation of gender inequality in the labor market in Azerbaijan, employing survey data, econometric models, and comparative international approaches.
Her research interests include labor market economics, gender inequality, health economics, applied econometrics, and economic policy evaluation. In her scholarly work, she emphasizes the analysis of economic decision-making processes, assessment of the economic impacts of laws and policies, measurement of the effectiveness of government programs, and the development of evidence-based policy approaches.
Professionally, she has worked as an economist in various government institutions, conducting policy-oriented economic analyses in the fields of agriculture, transportation, ICT, and healthcare. She is currently teaching economics at Karabakh University.
