Gulshan Gasimzade has been a PhD candidate at the Department of Decorative Applied Arts of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts (ADRA) since 2015. She continues her research on the topic “Artistic Characteristics of Palace Carpets of Azerbaijan and Turkey.” She is the author of 9 scientific articles and 3 conference theses.
In 2005, her Bachelor’s graduation project was awarded a diploma at the 14th International Architectural Forum held in Tomsk, Russia, in the nomination “Best Advertising Design Solution in the Urban Environment.”
As an amateur, she is engaged in psychology, music, Oriental miniature painting, and photography.
Her solo photography exhibition entitled “Ethno,” dedicated to Azerbaijan, was organized in Slovenia in 2012 on the occasion of May 28 – Republic Day.
In 2015, within the framework of the “Metro Gallery” project organized by Baku Metro, she participated in a collective photography competition with three selected photographic works.
A three-day solo photography exhibition titled “Ogat” was held on November 3, 2017, in Icherisheher (Old City), Baku.
A solo photography exhibition dedicated to International Children’s Day was organized on June 1, 2018, at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.
