Background

Farid Babayev was born on September 2, 1994, in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan.
He began his musical education in kamancha at the Ertogrul Javid Children’s Music School.
In 2008 and 2009, he won Second and First Prizes respectively
at competitions dedicated to the anniversaries of Heydar Aliyev.
In 2013, he received First Prize at a competition marking the 90th anniversary of Heydar
Aliyev.
After graduating from Nakhchivan Music College,
he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Kamancha
at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
Between 2022 and 2024, he worked as an accompanist
at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
He currently serves as a kamancha instructor
at the Jabrayil Children’s Music School.
He continues his pedagogical and performance activities simultaneously.
