Aydin Aliyev
Background
Aydin Aliyev was born in 1962 in Baku, Azerbaijan. He received his musical education at
specialized institutions and graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Arts as well
as the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
Throughout his professional career, he collaborated with prominent Azerbaijani artists such
as Zeynab Khanlarova and Arif Babayev and performed in numerous countries. In 1998, his
first compact disc was released in Paris.
In 2002, he became a diploma holder of the “Silk Road” International Festival. In 2015, he
was awarded a PhD degree in Art Studies, and in 2019 he received the academic title of
Associate Professor.
He has been engaged in long-term pedagogical activity and contributed to educational
materials in the field of instrumental mugham.
He currently works as a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of Karabakh University.
