Aslan Mehtiyev was born on May 24, 1998, in Duz Girigli village, Tovuz district, Azerbaijan.
He received his general education between 2005 and 2016 and studied Ashug art (saz
performance)
from 2009 to 2014.
Between 2016 and 2020, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at the
Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Faculty of Arts and Physical Education.
He continued his Master’s studies from 2020 to 2022.
During his student years, he actively participated in university projects, state events,
concert programs, and official cultural initiatives.
In 2020, he began his professional career as a music teacher. In the same year,
his album “Classical Ashug Melodies” was released on digital platforms.
Since 2024, he has been working at Karabakh University. In 2025, together with his
students,
he participated in the VIII International Kharibulbul Festival and presented a solo concert
titled “Evening of Saz Music.”
He currently continues his artistic and pedagogical activities at Karabakh University.
