The course explores the bourgeois revolutions in England, France, and other European countries, the American independence movement, and the spread of Enlightenment ideas and their influence on statehood and society. A comparative analysis is also made of the political and socio-economic conditions of the Ottoman Empire, Russia, China, and other major states during this period. The course concludes with the onset of the Industrial Revolution, the expansion of international trade, and the global effects of capitalist transformation in the early 19th century.
