Course Description
This course focuses on the detailed mapping and description of the physical features of an area, including both natural and man-made elements. The curriculum covers the principles of distance measurement, angle determination, and elevation modeling. Students learn to use surveying instruments to collect field data and translate it into accurate 2D maps and 3D digital terrain models. The course emphasizes the interpretation of contour lines, scale calculations, and the application of topographic data in site planning and infrastructure design. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of producing precise geographical representations essential for civil engineering and land development projects.
