Course Type
Elective - Block 5
Course Description
This course explores the use of mathematical and computational models to replicate the behavior of complex real-world systems. The curriculum focuses on discrete-event simulation, stochastic processes, and random number generation techniques. Students learn to analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and test "what-if" scenarios in a risk-free environment. The course emphasizes the use of specialized software to model manufacturing lines, logistics networks, and service systems. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of validating simulation results and providing data-driven recommendations for system optimization and efficiency improvements.
