Course Description
This block focuses on diagnosis, treatment planning and perioperative care in specialized surgical fields. It strengthens practical skills in clinical decision-making, aseptic technique, patient safety and team-based surgical care. Evidence-based reasoning and patient-centered ethical conduct are central to treatment planning.
In Urology, students study the etiopathogenesis, laboratory and instrumental diagnosis, and conservative and surgical management of urological diseases.
In Traumatology and Orthopedics, they develop skills in clinical assessment of trauma, immobilization, orthopedic rehabilitation and surgical decision-making.
In Ophthalmology, they learn early detection of visual disorders, performance of slit-lamp, refraction and fundus examinations, as well as initial treatment and referral.
In Otorhinolaryngology, they study diagnosis and management of ear, nose and throat pathologies, including conservative and surgical treatment and postoperative care.
In Pediatric Surgery, they learn surgical approaches, perioperative care and rehabilitation for pediatric patients, taking into account anatomical and physiological specificities.
