Course Description
In this block, students participate in the independent care of surgical patients, including preoperative preparation, postoperative follow-up and rehabilitation. It aims to enhance skills in sterile technique, safety and surgical teamwork, as well as decision-making and documentation.
In General Surgery, students are involved in the emergency and elective management of common surgical conditions, wound care and postoperative rehabilitation.
In Obstetrics and Gynecology, they gain practical experience in childbirth and women’s health services, ensuring maternal and fetal safety and performing initial assessment of gynecological cases.
In Emergency Medicine, they develop competencies in assessing trauma and acute surgical conditions on site, controlling bleeding and preparing patients for surgery.
