Course Description
This course teaches the fundamental concepts and classification of logistics systems and the essence of integration in logistics and supply chain management (SCM). It covers the calculation of total costs and the necessity of coordination between functional areas—procurement, production, and distribution logistics—to maximize delivery service and flexibility. The curriculum focuses on optimizing financial, labor, energy, time, information, and intellectual resources within the logistics network and addresses optimization tasks at different hierarchical levels. It studies the various types and criteria of logistics service in the supply chain, including assurance of assortment, quantity, quality, time, price, and reliability. The course develops students' abilities to analyze, manage, and optimize end-to-end supply chain processes, efficiently organizing both physical and information flows.
