Course Description

This course develops students’ understanding of stylistic analysis and the expressive features of Azerbaijani literary and spoken language. Learners examine how linguistic and poetic devices — such as metaphor, simile, imagery, rhetorical strategies, and narrative techniques —create meaning and aesthetic effect in texts.
The course also explores the cultural and historical factors that shaped stylistic traditions in the Azerbaijani language and literature. Through readings, presentations, rhetorical practice, and detailed text analysis, future teachers gain the skills to evaluate, interpret, and explain stylistic features and to cultivate confident, expressive public speaking.
