[INM 302] Structural Mechanics I
Instruction Language
Azerbaijani
Course Description
This course introduces the fundamental theories for analyzing statically determinate structures. The curriculum focuses on calculating internal forces—shear, axial, and bending moments—in beams, trusses, and rigid frames. Students explore the principles of virtual work and influence lines for moving loads, as well as the calculation of structural displacements. The course emphasizes the stability and determinacy of structures under various external actions. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of performing rigorous structural assessments, providing the essential groundwork for designing safe and efficient load-bearing systems in civil engineering.
