Course Description

This course is aimed at further developing vocal performance skills based on musical notation for students specializing in traditional vocal performance (khananda singing). It focuses on advancing music reading abilities and refining overall performance culture through systematic practice.
Within the instructional process, students enhance their ability to accurately read musical notation, precisely follow melodic lines, and maintain intonational stability and rhythmic accuracy. The course involves continued work on the Azerbaijani song and romance repertoire, with detailed analysis of modal–intonational characteristics, melodic development logic, and artistic-emotional content.
Particular emphasis is placed on the advanced development of proper breath distribution, phrasing, diction, and articulation skills during the sight-singing process.
