Course Description
This course introduces students to the systematic processes required to conduct high-quality scientific and engineering research. The curriculum covers the formulation of research questions, literature review techniques, and the distinction between qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Students explore experimental design, data collection tools, and statistical methods used to validate research findings. The course emphasizes academic integrity, citation standards, and the effective communication of results through technical reports and presentations. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of identifying research gaps, designing rigorous experiments, and producing well-structured scholarly work, providing them with the essential analytical tools needed for both advanced academic pursuits and professional research and development (R&D) projects.
