Course Description
This block focuses on assessing population health, organizing primary health care services, planning preventive actions and promoting health at the community level. It develops analytical and practical skills in health policy, health research and the analysis of epidemiological data. Strengthening primary health care systems, improving service quality and fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making are central aims.
In Public Health, students study health-system organization, monitoring of health indicators, disease prevention and evaluation of health programmes.
In Family Medicine, they learn family- and person-centered care models, follow-up of chronic diseases, ethical patient–family relationships and coordinated community-based activities.
In Emergency Medicine, they acquire competencies in first response, triage, risk communication and the organization of medical assistance in emergencies at community level.
