Course Description
This course teaches the classification of logistics systems, integration in logistics and supply chain management, total costs, and coordination between various functional areas—procurement logistics, production logistics, and distribution logistics—in terms of delivery service and flexibility. It covers the problems of optimizing financial, labor, energy, time, information, and intellectual resources within the logistics system, and optimization tasks at various levels of the hierarchy. Furthermore, it studies the types of services in the supply chain and the criteria for logistics service—assortment, quantity, quality, time, price, and reliability. The course develops students' abilities to analyze, manage, and optimize logistics and supply chain processes.
