Course Description

This course teaches the fundamental concepts of Procurement (Inbound) and Distribution (Outbound) Logistics and their integration within the supply chain. It covers the processes of demand forecasting, purchasing strategies, and supplier evaluation in procurement logistics.

The curriculum focuses on managing material flows from suppliers to production and managing finished goods from production to the final customer. It examines inventory planning for inbound materials and the design of distribution networks, including facility location and channel selection.

Furthermore, it studies the optimization of transport and warehousing activities specific to each area, aiming to minimize total logistics costs while meeting customer service levels.

The course develops students' abilities to strategically plan and manage efficient procurement and distribution processes to enhance competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
