Course Description
This course introduces the mathematical foundations for analyzing uncertainty and interpreting data in engineering. The curriculum covers basic probability concepts, including Bayes' theorem, random variables, and discrete and continuous probability distributions such as Binomial and Normal. Students learn statistical methods including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and regression analysis to model and predict system behavior. The course emphasizes data-driven decision-making and error analysis, which are vital for quality control, signal processing, and reliability engineering. By the end of the semester, students will be proficient in applying statistical tools to evaluate experimental results and manage stochastic processes in electronics.
