Course Description
This course explores the design, implementation, and optimization of dedicated computing systems embedded within larger mechanical or electrical frameworks. The curriculum covers microcontroller architectures, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and hardware-software co-design. Students learn to program in low-level languages, interface with sensors and actuators, and manage power consumption and memory constraints. The course emphasizes timing analysis, interrupt handling, and serial communication protocols like I2C and SPI. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of developing robust embedded solutions for applications in automotive, healthcare, and industrial automation sectors.
