Course Description
This course explores the importance of play and sensory experiences in early childhood education. It examines theories and practices related to play-based learning and sensory integration, highlighting the role of play in child development and educational settings. Emphasis is placed on creating inclusive and stimulating learning environments that encourage exploration, creativity, and holistic growth. Topics include the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical benefits of play; the processing of sensory information and its impact on learning and behavior; designing enriching environments; curriculum planning; and techniques for implementing play-based and sensory activities. Through hands-on experiences, case studies, and reflective exercises, students gain an understanding of how play and sensory pedagogy can enhance learning outcomes for young children and support their overall development.
