Course Description
This course explores the fundamental principles, design, and implementation of modern operating systems. The curriculum covers core concepts such as process management, CPU scheduling, and inter-process communication. Students study memory management techniques, including virtual memory and paging, as well as file systems and storage structures. The course also addresses concurrency, deadlocks, and system security. By the end of the semester, students will understand how the operating system acts as an intermediary between users and hardware, ensuring efficient resource allocation and providing a stable environment for executing application software.
