Course Description
General Aim
This block aims to equip students with a comprehensive and community-oriented approach across family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, public health, and infectious diseases. Working in real clinical and community settings under supervision, students develop competencies in patient communication, needs assessment, planning of preventive and rehabilitative activities, and delivering holistic care.
The block also supports the development of professional responsibility and readiness for independent practice.
Specific Objectives
Family Medicine Nursing – To adopt family- and community-centered approaches within primary healthcare, participate in preventive and rehabilitative activities, and develop long-term care plans.
Internal Medicine Nursing – To assess patient conditions, provide care in alignment with treatment plans, and enhance patients’ health literacy through practical, supervised experience.
Psychiatric Nursing – To develop ethical and empathetic communication skills with patients experiencing mental health disorders, as well as competencies in observation and psychosocial support.
Pediatric Nursing – To strengthen practical skills in maintaining child health, preventing diseases, and providing care during treatment through active collaboration with parents and caregivers.
Public Health – To participate in community health protection initiatives, immunization programmes, disease prevention activities, and community-based health promotion.
Infectious Diseases – To apply infection-prevention measures, isolation and disinfection procedures, and contribute to epidemiological surveillance within real clinical environments.
