Course Description
General Aim
The aim of this block is to enable students to consolidate and apply the knowledge and skills acquired in previous years in real clinical settings across emergency care, obstetrics–gynecology, surgery, and resuscitation. Under the supervision of experienced nurses and physicians, students develop competencies in patient observation, delivery of basic medical care, performance of clinical procedures, and collaboration within the healthcare team.
Specific Objectives
Emergency Nursing – To ensure that students, under supervision, can perform initial patient assessment in emergency settings, restore vital functions, and carry out essential life-saving interventions.
Obstetric–Gynecologic Nursing – To enable students to observe and participate in the management of women’s health, pregnancy, labor, and postpartum care, strengthening practical competencies in maternal and newborn care.
Surgical Nursing – To develop students’ skills in pre-operative and postoperative patient care, wound dressing, sterilization, and practical application of aseptic–antiseptic principles.
Anesthesiology and Resuscitation – To provide students with experience in monitoring vital organ functions, airway management, and teamwork in critical situations through supervised participation in anesthesia and resuscitation procedures.
