Rector of Karabakh University Shahin Bayramov Attends the Opening Ceremony of the “Study in Azerbaijan” Education Exhibition in Kazakhstan
Shahin Bayramov, Rector of Karabakh University, attended the opening ceremony of the international “Study in Azerbaijan” education exhibition of Azerbaijani higher education institutions, held on April 6 at the Farabi Hub Innovation Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The exhibition aims to strengthen strategic cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education and science, as well as to raise awareness among students and young professionals about opportunities to pursue higher education in Azerbaijan.
The opening ceremony was attended by Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; as well as rectors of leading universities and education experts from both countries.
Approximately 25 leading universities from Azerbaijan are represented at the exhibition. Within the framework of the event, prospective students and current students have the opportunity to obtain detailed information about higher education programs in Azerbaijan, academic opportunities, and scientific achievements. The exhibition also provides comprehensive information on scholarships, academic mobility, dual degree programs, and admission requirements.
In his opening remarks, Sayasat Nurbek emphasized that this initiative represents a logical continuation of bilateral cooperation. He noted that more than 2,500 Azerbaijani young people participated in the “Study in Kazakhstan” exhibition held in Azerbaijan last year, during which nearly 80 significant agreements were reached. The current event stands as a tangible outcome of such productive collaboration.
Emin Amrullayev, in turn, highlighted the importance of integration in education, noting that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan share common historical and cultural roots. He emphasized that cooperation in the field of education further strengthens these ties and underlined that such platforms assist young people in making informed career choices and becoming competitive in the global arena.
It should be noted that the exhibition will continue on April 7–8 at the Farabi Hub KazNU Center.
