Karabakh University faculty and staff commemorated March 31st - the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis

A commemorative event was organized at Karabakh University on the occasion of March 31 – the Day of Remembrance of the Azerbaijani Genocide.

The ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a one-minute moment of silence in honor of the victims of the genocide.

Subsequently, Kenan Mammadov, a second-year student of the Pedagogy Faculty, and Emil Guliyev, a second-year History student at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, delivered speeches providing detailed information on the historical significance of the March 1918 events, the genocide policy implemented against the Azerbaijani people, and the place of this tragedy in the national memory. In their remarks, they emphasized the importance of conveying the facts of this tragedy to the international community.

Following the speeches, a video clip related to the topic was presented.

In the artistic segment of the commemoration, a musical composition dedicated to the Day of Remembrance was performed by a quartet of instructors from the Faculty of Arts at Karabakh University.

Participants also lit memorial candles in honor of the victims of the genocide. The event concluded with a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
