Syllabi and course learning outcomes to be developed using more effective methods
Karabakh University continues its efforts to enhance the methodological skills of its academic staff and align teaching quality with modern standards.
As part of this initiative, on February 9, Leyla Sultanlı, Head of the Department of Applied Research in Education at the Assessment, Analysis, and Monitoring Center of the Azerbaijan Institute of Education (ARTI), conducted a seminar on “Preparing Syllabi and Course Learning Outcomes.”
Organized in a workshop format, the seminar covered topics including:
- Writing course learning outcomes,
- Aligning course learning outcomes with program-level outcomes,
- Calculating the required workload and ECTS credits to achieve the outcomes,
- Preparing a comprehensive course syllabus.
During the practical session, participants applied the knowledge gained through group work and interactive exercises to real teaching scenarios. The seminar concluded with a Q&A session, allowing attendees to clarify and discuss practical issues related to the topic.
