KU's Faculty of Engineering to develop joint programs with Istanbul Technical University
Karabakh University’s Rector, Shahin Bayramov, participated in an official visit to Turkey as part of a delegation led by Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education.
During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the fields of science and education was signed between Karabakh University and Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in Ankara.
The signing ceremony was attended by Minister Emin Əmrullayev and Prof. Erol Özvar, Chair of Turkey’s Higher Education Council (YÖK), while the MoU was signed by Rector Shahin Bayramov and Rector Hasan Mandal of ITU.
In his remarks, YÖK Chair Erol Özvar highlighted the historical ties between the two brotherly nations and emphasized that collaboration in higher education contributes to their shared future. He also noted Karabakh University’s role as a new center of knowledge and innovation for the region, expressing confidence that ITU’s extensive experience will significantly support Karabakh University’s further development.
Minister Emin Amrullayev described the MoU as a new platform for scientific and educational collaboration between the two countries, underscoring Karabakh University’s importance for Azerbaijan and the broader Turkic world, and affirming that the partnership with ITU will strengthen the newly established university’s position.
