Between December 15 and 18, 2025, the “Karabakh U:1” team from Karabakh University successfully participated in the 50th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Semifinal and the South Caucasus Open Championship, held in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The team, supervised by Elchin Guliyev, Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, comprised second-year Computer Engineering students: Məhəmməd Həsənov, Elnur Məmmədov, and Cahangir Məmmədov.

Demonstrating substantial progress compared to their 2024 performance, the team advanced from 54th to 34th place.

It should be noted that the semifinal hosted over 300 teams, while approximately 60 teams competed in the South Caucasus Open Championship.
