Course Description
This course focuses on the mathematical models and computational techniques used to optimize data flow across complex networks. The curriculum covers shortest path algorithms, such as Dijkstra’s and Bellman-Ford, and maximum flow problems using the Ford-Fulkerson method. Students investigate spanning tree protocols, network reliability, and congestion control mechanisms. The course emphasizes the design of efficient routing protocols for telecommunications and transportation infrastructures. By the end of the semester, students will be capable of analyzing network performance and implementing algorithms to solve resource allocation and connectivity challenges, providing essential skills for telecommunications engineering and logistics optimization.
